Veterans Day 2026 falls on a Wednesday, November 11. The Marine Corps turns 251 the day before, on November 10. If you want something in hand for either date, and it is printed to order, the honest deadline is Monday, October 26. Here is what to give, by branch and by person, and how to say thank you without making a veteran wince.
First, how to thank a veteran
Most veterans will tell you the same thing: a quiet, specific thank-you beats a public, generic one. Say what you are thanking them for. Ask one real question about their service and listen to the answer. If you are giving a gift, give one they would have chosen themselves, in their size, in a color they already wear. Skip anything that puts a flag over their whole chest unless you know for certain that is their style.
Gifts by branch
Army
The World's Okayest EOD Technician Tee for the bomb tech, the Army Ranger 22 oz bottle for the tabbed, and the one-word Veteran Tee for the soldier who does not want to make a thing of it. More in the Army collection.
Marines
November 10 is the birthday. The Semper Fi Tee is the one to give; the Semper Fi heavyweight hoodie is the one they will steal from each other. See the Marines collection.
Navy
The embroidered Navy Anchor Cap is the gift that always fits. Submariners get the Submarine Dolphins Tee; everyone else gets Smooth Sailing Never Made Skilled Sailors. See the Navy collection.
Air Force and Space Force
The A-10 Warthog BRRRRT Tee is our best seller for a reason, and not only among airmen. Guardians get the Space Force Rocket Launch Tee. See Air Force and Space Force.
Coast Guard
The Coast Guard Cutter Tee wears the racing stripe everyone recognizes from a mile out. See the Coast Guard collection.
Gifts by person
- The veteran who hates sentimental gifts: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Humor is the only emotion some of them will accept in public.
- The veteran of faith: Here Am I, Send Me. Isaiah 6:8, printed with restraint.
- The spouse or parent: they served too. The Those Who Serve Tee covers every branch and every era.
- The one who already has every shirt: the insulated bottle or the cap.
Why October 26
Every Mil Apparel piece is printed to order, which takes 2 to 5 business days, then ships USPS. Counting back from November 10 with a buffer for a slow week lands on Monday, October 26. Order after that and it may still arrive, but we would rather tell you the truth than sell you a maybe. Christmas dates are on the Holiday Shipping page.
