Our Story

We could not find gear worthy of the people wearing it. So we made it.

Mil Apparel is a veteran-owned and operated brand based in Van Nuys, California. It started with a simple frustration: most military shirts are a souvenir. A thin blank, a plastic print, a graphic drawn by someone who never stood a formation. The people who earned the right to wear the words deserve better than that.

The standard

Every Mil Apparel design is drawn in-house. We print to order on ringspun cotton with a soft-hand, direct-to-garment print that sits in the fabric instead of on top of it. The gold Mil Apparel label is printed inside the collar, so there is no scratchy tag and no logo slapped where it does not belong. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Yours is made when you order it and shipped from the USA.

Two registers, always in balance

Half of what we make is the inside joke only the tribe gets: the A-10 BRRRRT, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, the World's Okayest EOD Technician. The other half is quiet reverence: Here Am I, Send Me; the one-word Veteran tee; a tribute to the originals. Humor earns the follow. Reverence earns the loyalty. We never punch down, and branch rivalry stays friendly.

What we will not do

No official seals or insignia reproduced for sale. No stolen-valor optics. No implied endorsement from the Department of Defense or any branch. No flag-waving clichés printed on the cheapest blank in the catalog.
